Bad driver barbara

His scooter was thrown through the intersection and ended up wedged into a tree. After hitting the scooter, drunk Jeep driver swerved into a parked silver pickup and sent it forward about 20 feet. Unfortunately, the Jeep's airbags saved the drunk driver from much injury.

The scooter rider never woke up. He was 78 years old. And he was my friend. Im sorry for your loss. This is never a way to lose someone close. Dave, very sorry to hear of this loss. Just stop. We have so many alternatives these days. This is a terrible tragedy, I'm so sorry to hear of the traumatic loss of your friend. I hope it happened so fast he didn't feel anything :. Oh, no. I am so sorry to hear this, my dear.

Does it make me a bad person to wonder how the drunk drivers never seem to sustain lasting injuries, while taking whole lives away? It's so unfair. This is such a senseless, cruel crime. DUIs need to be taken far more seriously and need to come with license forfeiture and mandatory jail stints at the first offense.

I am sickened that people can get multiple DUIs and get back on the road. People don't fear the law and why would they? The punishments are lenient. I am so sorry your friend was lost to this preventable tragedy.

Sorry for your loss. Way too many of these incidents happening lately. Garden street, Cathedral Oaks, Las Positas and now this. Stay vigilant and use caution cuz the drunk and or reckless drivers are running rampant around here. Foothill and Carrillo too in the past month! So many horrific crashes that killed innocent people while the DUI drivers all survived. It seems barely a week passes without a DUI driver killing someone on our streets.

I am outraged. This is entirely preventable. DUIs need to be punished far more heavily. And we need our police out patrolling for reckless driving constantly. These accidents are happening at all times of day and not even the classic 2am drunk crash.

It's so disturbing. May he Rest in Peace. This deeply saddens me. It don't matter to them, they're drunk, they're impaired, those control features won't do a thing.

That's just the sad fact to incidents such as this. We're 4 lives for 3 incidents now, 2 on Cathedral Oaks, 1 on Carillo, now this 1. The comment about about the drunk surviving unscathed is untrue. His survival includes the daily memory of the event and the horrific memory that he caused this to happen is the worst punishment possible. This would be worse than death. Maybe true May, maybe not. Many DUI drivers reoffend and paint themselves as the victim somehow.

It is not enough to say their punishment is their life. We need harsher laws, license forfeiture, mandatory jail time, etc. Having the chance to get multiple DUIs before you face any jailtime or losing your license is unacceptable and currently that kicks in on number 3 in CA.

I dont see where it said intentional anywhere. Regardless of the cause, which we do not know yet, these seemingly senseless accidents are getting truly terrifying. It seems like at least once a week people are killed on 35mph roads around here. I don't really get what is going on. It isn't our imagination that these accidents are going up. People are apparently losing their ability to drive or their will to drive safely and sanely due to various aspects of living through COVID.

I personally have witnessed more insane driving on the road in the last year or so than ever before and I was pretty sure it was not my imagination but was confirmed when I read the stats. If you have a heart at all, speculation and especially judgement is better kept to yourself when a tragedy like this occurs.

This is devastating to his friends and family. Sincere condolences to all who knew him, may he rest in peace. Anyone who drives around without wearing a seat belt is asking for trouble. And no one just drives into a tree without something being seriously wrong with them. Skip to main content. Search form. Public News. Login to add Comments. See All. Show Comments. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. The emergency responder with Bannock County Search and Rescue who went into cardiac arrest while pulling bodies from the crumpled vehicles is expected to survive.

Neither official was identified by the newspaper. But the teens were no longer behind their parents as they approached McCammon, prompting the elder Eric to slow down and call another relative, who told him the teens had had an accident.
